Dr. Karlien van Zyl

 

Dr. Karlien van Zyl has a wide spectrum of experience as medical doctor.  Prior to starting the practice in Stilbaai in 2015 she was a medical officer at Uniondale Hospital.  She functioned as the clinical manager of the hospital and also primary health care manager for the area's clinics.  Before serving as medical officer she was 10 years an emergency medical practitioner at Highveld Mediclinic and also worked in association in a general practice in Secunda.   She completed her MBChB degree at the University of Pretoria in 1998. After obtaining het degree she did her internship at Witbank hospital and completed het community service at Evander Hospital in 2000.  During 2001 she worked in the United Kingdom in the Nuffield private hospitals in Derby and Chester as a resident medical officer.

 

Dr. Patricia Oosthuizen

 

Dr. Patricia Oosthuizen comes from a family of medical practitioners, and her passion for medicine started at a young age. She obtained her medical degree from Stellenbosch University in 2021 and completed her internship at Tygerberg Academic Hospital. In 2024, she completed her community service at Tshepong Hospital in Klerksdorp, where she worked in the surgical department. During this time, she gained valuable experience in surgical procedures and treating patients with complex conditions, including burn injuries. It was here that she developed a particular interest in breast and endocrine surgery.
